90 Second Newbery Film Fest

Tomorrow night, November 16th, at Harold Washington Library, James Kennedy will bring his 90-Second Newbery Film Fest home to Chicago. He put out the challenge, in connection with New York Public Library and Chicago Public Library, over a year ago for fans of literary young and old to create movies that tell the entire story of Newbery Award winning books, all in 90 seconds or less. The submissions were many and varied and now you get a chance to view them all.

This Chicago screening will also include live Newbery-themed entertainment by Chicago’s own Neo-Futurists, Abraham Levitan of Baby Teeth, 826 CHI, Elephant and Worm, Hogwash, and more!
