Blank by Davis Schneiderman

Schneiderman’s Drain was the most challanging book that I read in 2010, and he is returning this year with his brilliant new project Blank

The novel from Jaded Ibis Press is available at a 20% preorder this week only.

The novel contains only compelling chapter titles. The story is–as it always has been–up to the reader. The novel also contains white-on-white pyrographic images by notable artist Susan White. Yes, back up, you read that correctly. The novel contains only compelling chapter titles crafted by Schneiderman.

The cost right now is only $11.96. The fine art edition ($7500) is shrink-wrapped and enclosed in a wooden box that is fully encased in plaster and can be opened with a pull-tab. Once opened, the box cannot be re-encased. Three Bach remix tracks by renowned experimental hip hop musician, DJ Spooky, That Subliminal Kid (a.k.a. Paul. Miller), cap the fine-art edition. The mixes will come on an embedded bamboo flash drive.

The video below will give you some insight into Schneiderman’s creative process.
