Pish Posh II, the sequel @ Saki

This Saturday Another New Calligraphy is hosting its second installment of Pish Posh. This event marks the release of the new collection from Spencer Dew, Mont-Saint-Michel and Chartes. The collection does not only feature the words of Dew and his focus search through grief and mourning, but it includes a DIY scale model of the cathedral at Chartres and transparent overlays. I am sure it is absolutely beautiful.

Pish Posh takes on Saturday December 4th at Saki at 2pm, and the line-up includes Swim Ignorant Fire, Spencer Dew, McKenzie Toma, and Toby Bengelsdorf.

  • I recommend that you review Kenneth N. Green's book I'm From Division Street. The book graphically describes how his turbulent boyhood and teenage years in Chicago's tough Humboldt Park neighborhood gave him the grit and motivation to succeed in life as a public defender and defense lawyer in California, an amateur boxer, and single parent of a son. The book is being sold at Barnes & Noble, Barnes&Noble.com, Barbaras Bookstore, Amazon.com, and other retailers worldwide. He will be back in Chicago in May discussing his book at the Vernon Area Public Library at 7 p.m. on May 2, at Roosevelt High School at 11 a.m on May 3 for students and staff, and at 7 p.m. on May 3 at the Evanston Public Library.
