The Chicago Center for Literature and Photography (CCLaP) has been the passion and project of Jason Pettus. His dedication to the arts and to Chicago is amazing, and tonight CCLaP hosts its first reading event. The one-hour show will feature brand-new pieces by CCLaP authors Sally Weigel and Ben Tanzer, as well as science-fiction author Mark Brand, poet Jason Fisk, and blogger Katherine Hodges, aka ‘Katherine of Chicago.’ The event will be recorded and also act as CCLaP’s first live podcast. This is a free event taking place at The Op Shop, and they are encouraging folks to “bring your own spirits”.

On a similar note Artistically Declined recently announced that they will be publishing the third novel from Ben Tanzer. Just as his last novel, Most Likely You Go Your Way and I’ll Go Mine, was titled after a song his new novel will be called “You Can Make Him Like You”.
