Printers’ Ball was fabulous! Tons of people came out to support the many small presses represented, the book-making and screen-printing demonstrations were excellent, the events (Quickies! Reading Series with a representative from several of Chicago’s many reading series and Literary Death Match– both personal favorites) were lively and fun and by all accounts, a fine time was had by all. Just check out these video interviews by yours truly from the event:
- Mary Hamilton & Lindsay Hunter of flash-fiction Quickies! Reading Series
- Spencer Dew, newly-crowned Chicago Literary Death Match champion
- Gretchen Kalwinski of Chicago literary mega-resource Literago
- Gina Frangello of local press, OV Books
- Jodee Stanley of literary journal Ninth Letter
- Jonathan Messinger of local presses, Featherproof and Paper Egg Books
- Caroline Picard of local press and gallery, The Green Lantern Gallery & Press
- Mark R. Brand of speculative fiction publisher, Silverthought Press
- The Paper Ladies (trust me, just check it out)
- Lindsey Dietzler of Columbia College’s ShopColumbia

As always, amazing work, Dear Guth. Wow. Also, the photo on the main page is so great. I think it'd be a great tattoo for someone.
Girls in silly hats and girls with important news microphones make me weak in the knees.
