Illini big man Meyers Leonard at the NBA Draft combine (video)

Former Illinois Fighting Illini Center Meyers Leonard greeted the media yesterday at the 2012 NBA Draft combine. Here’s some of what he had to say about the process.

The Sports Bank’s Ngozi Ekeledo stopped by the 2012 NBA Draft Combine’s Media Day and talked to the former University of Illinois big man about why he made the decision to leave school early for the NBA.

Here’s where we currently have Leonard in our mock draft:

21. Boston- Meyers Leonard, C, Illinois, 7-1, So.
The Celtics could use improved depth at just about every position since they only have four players under contract for next season.  Meyers Leonard is one of the true seven-footers in this draft and adds some needed size, rebounding, and shot blocking inside.  He is a solid value at this point although I tend to think he’s more bust than boom.
