Happy Passover/Easter weekend! I’m sure we’ll all be spending tons of time with our families over the next few days, but remember to stretch and take frequent breaks or you’ll experience family overload. Here are a few escapes this weekend:
If you thought you couldn’t take the kids into a gay dance club on Easter weekend, you were WRONG. More than 25 businesses in the East Lakeview/Northalsted neighborhood will be handing out eggs containing discount coupons and gift certificates for the Easter Bonnet Brigade. And don’t forget to wear your decked out bonnet to Space Park at 1:00 p.m.
Get ready for the most epic pillow fight ever! Tomorrow is International Pillow Fight Day and you can fight your opponents for really no purpose at all. The war will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Plaza between Tribune Tower and Consulate of Brazil. Since that’s a terrible description, read more about it here.
If you’re looking for a delicious alternative to the typical Passover Seder, check out this list.
It’s also National Caramel Popcorn Day on Saturday. (I love made up holidays.) All Garrett Popcorn Shops will be handing out complimentary servings of the famous Caramel Crisp between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. You know there’s going to be a line, so you have to really want it.
