Going to the gym is so freaking boring. I don’t understand how you can use the (insert fancy gym machine here) for more than two minutes! Personally, I’m a classes kind of gal, and since I’ve decided to tone up in the new year I’ve been searching for a fun and motivating class to do just that. Well, I found it: Bollywood Cardio.
First off, if you haven’t been exposed the fabulous-ness that is Bollywood, you need to watch this video. Dancing in modern Bollywood films are modeled after traditional Indian dance moves combined with Western dance. The dance numbers include goregous costumes, singing and some pretty extreme scenery .
Bollywood Cardio classes are brought to you from Bollywood Groove, a Chicagoland based Bollywood and Bhangra dance company. According to the group’s website, these classes can burn up to 700 calories! You don’t need any prior Bollywood dance knowledge, as they will teach you all the moves you need to know.
For those a little more intense in their workout desires, try Bollywood Cardio Blast. It combines all the fun of Bollywood Cardio, but the moves are designed to burn even more calories.
