6:00pm: 2nd Story is back at City Winery (1200 W Randolph St, Chicago, IL 60607) presenting “No Fool: Stories of Risk and Strategy”, featuring intrepid performances by Earliana McLaurinAlyssa Grace Sorresso and Kareem Khubchandani. This episode of 2nd Story will be curated by the indomitable Bobby Biedrzycki and directed by Thrisa Hodits, music will be provided by the Harold Washington TrioGet tickets

6:00pm: Jackalope Theater Company has teamed up with Northwestern University’s Block Museum (40 Arts Cir Dr, Evanston, IL 60208) to present Living Newspapers, featuring an intriguing exhibit and four one-act plays ripped from today’s headlines. If you miss Thursday’s performance, there’s an encore on Saturday April 5th. Get tickets

6:30pm: Story Club Northside is happening at the Holiday Club Chicago (4000 N Sheridan Rd, Chicago, IL 60613). In keeping with theme of April Fools’ Day, this episode of Story Club is entitled, “Fooled” and will feature exquisite performances by storyteller and playwright, Randall ColburnKaren Shimmin of All Write Already and Essay Fiesta, and Journalist and Story Club Magazine web developer, David Lipowski. Open mic sign-up is at 7:30pm and authors are encouraged to share their stories about being a fool or having been fooled by another. Don’t miss out, this show is sure to be one for the history books, don’t miss it! Suggested $10 donation.
