Monday January 27th, 2014

7:30pm… Come out to Matilda’s (3101 N Sheffield Ave, Chicago, Illinois 60657) for Feast of the Epiphany Reading featuring Joel CraigHannah Gamble and many more. It’s sure to be a dreamy night full of poetry, so stay warm and in good company. Free. 

8pm… At Beauty Bar Chicago (1444 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, Illinois 60622) is another installment of Salonathon. The theme for this installment is LEX.I.CA and will be featuring readings from Sid Branca & Malic White, beats by Swaguerrilla and your awesome host, Jane BeachyFree. Show starts at 9pm.

6:30pm… Angela Vela & Danny Black host another installment of the fabulous reading series, The God, Sex & Death Variety Hour at The Hideout Inn (1354 W. Wabansia, Chicago, Illinois 60622) featuring performances by Julia Weiss, Amanda Glasbrenner and mortician Arman Maubry$5 at the door. 

7:00pm… Stoop-Style Stories Live is back to celebrate their one-year anniversary at Rosa’s Lounge (3420 W Armitage Ave, Chicago, Illinois 60647) featuring storytellers like Moth grand-slam champ, Paul Teodo and mother/scientist, Andi Nelson. There will be an open mic at 7:30pmFree show. 

7:30pm… Chicago’s only variety open mic is happening at the Gorilla Tango Theater (1919 N. Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, Illinois 60647). Join other artists for the Variety Open Mic.
