If you’re looking for something to do with kids on Friday, September 14 from 11-6pm because of the Chicago teacher’s strike, head down to the Lurie Garden for the fall festival and plant sale. There will be crafts for kids, tours and hands-on gardening demos. You’ll be among the first to buy plants from a new line inspired by the Lurie Garden that will be available in garden centers next year. You can download the full plant list that will be available at the sale here. Also, the garden will have honey harvested from the garden’s own beehive available for sale.
