Cha-Cha-Cha-Cha-Changes at Chicago Garden

Today ChicagoNow underwent a transformation. The site, and this blog, are now powered by WordPress. One of the immediate differences you’ll notice is that you can now log in and comment on this blog with either a ChicagoNow account or with your Facebook profile. Do me a favor and try to comment on this post so I can get accustomed to the new moderation features. If you comment with your ChicagoNow account you’ll notice that your profile and picture are gone. Over the next few weeks there will be some changes to profiles and this blog. The new profiles will enable you, the visitor, to use your account to add content, essentially blog, here along with me (and other blogs) at ChicagoNow.

Hope you’ll sign up and see where this new ride will take us.

Hmmm, Did you comment with a ChicagoNow account? I see your avatar is gone and it should be showing up because I think you use Gravatar, which should display here now.

  • In reply to MrBrownThumb:

Ack, the comments are threaded or at least nested under the comment you reply to?

  • fb_avatar

Signed in with facebook and comments are under the box I'm typing in. You don't get a nice big header anymore? WTF?

  • fb_avatar did your garden do in the hailstorm? Mine is shredded, and the tomatoes especially took a lot of damage. They look like skeletons compared to what they were. It was an awful way to wake up this morning :(

  • In reply to Allison Mackey:

Wow, that is horrible. I feel bad saying this, but my garden didn't suffer any damage that I can see. We sure got a lot of hail, but everything is fine.

  • Wow! It looks pretty different! More like a traditional blog I guess. Nice, though! I like the new log in process.
