P.F. Chang’s China Bistro® introduces a new national Happy Hour with a special menu including Drinks, Dim Sum and Street Fare, every day from 3PM – 6PM.

Drinks:
– New Mandarin Champagne Cocktail
– All signature cocktails including Asian Pear Mojito and the Chinese 88 Martini, $6

Dim Sum:
– Six new steamed dumpling choices, including Edamame, Pork & Leek, Lemongrass Chicken and Bacon & Egg Siu Mai

Nick’s Pizza and Pub

Have a heart for the hungry this Valentine’s Day with Nick’s Pizza & Pub and the Northern Illinois Food Bank. Nick’s Pizza & Pub is hosting the Hungry Hearts Food Drive from February 11-14, 2011, at its locations in Crystal Lake and Elgin, IL. Guests who bring in three or more nonperishable food items will receive the Hungry Hearts Valentine’s Day dine-in special: a 14-inch, one-topping signature thin-crust pizza, a pitcher of soda and a heart-shaped Nick’s Colossal Cookie for $19.99 (price does not include tax).

Greater Chicago Food Depository “86 Hunger” dinners – Help end Hunger Locally

Markethouse Cooking Classes

Chef Scott Walton of Markethouse Restaurant and Bar kicks off his popular Heartland 101 Chef Series for 2011. Offered twice a month on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., guests will enjoy an informative evening with demonstrations by Chef Scott of five themed dishes-inspired by Markethouse’s farm-to-table philosophy celebrating the flavors of America’s heartland-along with tips, recipes and generous tastings of each dish paired with cocktails or beer.

Tuesday, February 8: Valentine’s Day Dinner for Two
Tuesday, February 22: Winter Truffles

Valentine’s Day – Opulance! I has it…

Henri
Henri is ready to celebrate its first Valentine’s Day with a multi-course ode to the romantic holiday. The menu is studded with elegant aphrodisiacs like truffles, foie gras, oysters and vanilla-poached lobster, along with optional menu supplements like caviar.
The cost is $150 per person, plus an additional $50 for wine pairings. Guests can supplement their meal with shaved truffles for $25, torchon of foie gras for $20, or limited-production white sturgeon caviar with traditional accompaniments for $130.

RIA at the Elysian

Seafood, steak and chocolate fill out the opulent Valentine’s Day dinner menu at RIA. The restaurant’s four-course dinner will be available February 11 through February 14. The cost is $135 per person, plus $75 for optional wine pairings. Reservations are suggested and can be made by calling (312) 880-4400.

Trump Hotel and Sixteen

Be Mine.
The Be Mine package includes one night’s accommodation in a Deluxe City King guest room; a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Champagne; matching Champagne flutes to keep as a memento; housemade truffles from Executive Pastry Chef Sarah Kosikowski; an aromatic candle; a red rose; and in-room breakfast for two. Rates from $575/night. Upgrades to a one-bedroom suite are available, with package rates starting from $775/night.

Romance at Sixteen
The Michelin award-winning Sixteen promises to be a magical dining destination this Valentine’s Day. Executive Chef Frank Brunacci will awaken diners’ senses with three-, six-, and eight-course tasting menus that will be offered on various dates from Friday, February 11 through Monday, February 14.

Diners who wish to enjoy a three-course tasting experience can make reservations from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, February 11 through Sunday, February 13 for $125 per person, exclusive of alcohol, tax and gratuity. From 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, February 11 through Sunday, February 13 and from 5 to 9:30 p.m. on Monday, February 14, Chef Brunacci will delight guests with two additional menu options, including a six-course experience for $165 per person ($245 with wine pairings), and an eight-course “luxe romance” menu for $330 per person, which includes wines, guaranteed window seating, an arrangement of red roses and an after-dinner cordial. All menus are priced exclusive of tax and gratuity. Only Chef Brunacci’s six- and eight-course tasting menus will be offered on Monday, February 14; no a la carte items or other menus will be available.

On Sunday, February 13, Sixteen will present a Sweetheart’s Brunch, offering traditional favorites and seasonal specialties featuring a colorful array of soups, salads, charcuterie, raw bar and breakfastitems, as well as bustling action stations and sushi/nigiri. The Sweetheart’s Brunch at Sixteen will be served from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is $95 per person and $35 for children eight years and under, exclusive of alcohol, tax and gratuity.

MK Valentines

Michael Kornick and Executive Chef Erick Williams have prepared an irresistible menu that’s impossible not love. mk’s charming staff will suggest wine pairings while diners can sit back and enjoy the inviting atmosphere and fresh Hamachi, butter poached Maine lobster, grilled Kobe beef, firm and buttery Pleasant Ridge cheese and the best chocolate ganache tart that ever existed. Dinner costs $62 per person and $71 with cheese.

VIE

Vie will get into the Valentine’s spirit with a special degustation menu offered February 13 and 14. The five-course affair starts off with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine for all diners, and includes an amuse bouche and intermezzo. Mercadito

Five-Course Tasting Menu – Couples and friends alike will enjoy a personally crafted five-course menu from Chef Patricio Sandoval complete with a gourmet selection of guacamoles, botanas or ceviches, tacos, sides and desserts. The menu will be available for $60 per person from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday, February 13 or Monday, February 14.

Romantic Cooking at Double A – For couples seeking an interactive Valentine’s Day, Chef Patricio will lead two cooking demos and dinners at Double A, the intimate lounge located beneath Mercadito, from 5 to 8 p.m. and 9 to 11 p.m. on Monday, February 14. Chef Patricio will demonstrate how to expertly prepare four Día de San Valentín dishes so guests can turn up the romance by learning to cook for their Valentine. Four expertly paired cocktails will also accompany the dishes. The demo and dinner is $95 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity.

Markethouse

Valentine’s Day tasting menu with wine pairing from 5 to 10 p.m. beginning Saturday, February 12 through Monday, February 14. Offering farm-to-table freshness celebrating flavors from America’s heartland, Chef Walton’s celebratory tasting menu features the hearty flavors of the season, including a delectable Prime Rib with Braised Cap, Fingerling Potatoes, Black Trumpet Mushrooms and Winter Truffles.
