Hey Chicago! Happy Monday After St. Patrick’s Day Weekend!
I hope you had a great weekend and you’re getting through a Monday after way too much celebrating!
If you think you may have consumed way too many liquid calories this weekend and then topped it off with a run to the border or a monster piece of pizza…then I got the workout for you!
Try this QUICK CALORIE TORCHING CIRCUIT to help burn a ton of calories and work the whole body in a short amount of time and get you back on track after a long weekend.
What you will need:
Floor Space
A Step, Chair or a set of Stairs
Jump Rope – If you don’t have a jump rope, substitute jumping jacks.
Goal:
Complete 3 rounds of the circuit in as little time as possible. Take 3 minutes to rest between each round of the circuit. Try and complete the entire 3 rounds, not including the warm-up and cool-down, in 20 minutes.
Warm-up:
5 minute jog or bike
A few light stretches for the upper and lower body
Workout: Complete each exercise back-to-back with as little rest as possible
15 Burpees
20 Push-ups – Perform knee push-ups if you can’t complete standard push-ups
30 Walking Lunges
40 Reverse Lunge to Step-ups (20 each leg)
50 Mountain Climbers (25 each leg)
60 Jump Ropes
Rest for 3 minutes and then repeat the circuit. Complete 3 rounds of the circuit for a great, full-body calorie burning workout that will help get rid of any funk leftover from your St.Patty’s day celebration.
Cool Down:
5 minute jog or bike
A few light stretches for the upper and lower body
ALSO: Make sure you are drinking more water than usual…if you’re dehydrated from the weekend, this workout will deplete more H2O from your system, so make a few more trips to the water cooler.
Try it out, see what you think. Let me know if you have questions or comments!
Have a great day!
