Chicago White Sox “Bite Sox” food truck dishes out free bites today in downtown Chicago
A Cell fav--maple glazed bacon on a stick is on today's giveaway menu

Chicago ballpark food fans are in for a special treat today when the Chicago White Sox “Bite Sox” food truck comes to four locations in downtown Chicago with complimentary bites.

Whether you’re a Sox fan or a Cubs fan, one thing most Northsiders and Southsiders can agree on is that the White Sox serve the best ballpark food in our town–at least in the past. And even now with Major League Baseball franchises around the country ramping up their food offerings, the White Sox are still hard to beat on the field of food.

Now baseball fans and food fans can get an early preview of some of  this year’s new as well as traditional ballpark food that will be served at the Cell in 2016. Word is that even Cubs fans can partake in the free goodies (just don’t flaunt your Cubs logos).

Today as the White Sox prepare for their Friday, April 8 home opener against Cleveland, the White Sox “Bite Sox” food truck will be serving up complimentary bites including beef hot dogs, bratwurst, bacon on a stick, ballpark nachos and in-shell peanuts. In addition to the food, fans will have an opportunity to meet Southpaw and Mazda Pride Crew members.

The sampling kicks off today, Wednesday, April 6 at 11 am. at Michigan and Lake. From there the “Bite Sox” food truck is on a roll to Michigan and Monroe, ETA, 12:10 p.m. Next stop, Clark and Monroe at 2:30 p.m. with the final stop scheduled for 4 pm. at Wacker and Adams.

The food will be served in sample size on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last.  The stops and timing are subject to change.  Fans can receive up-to-date information by following @whitesox on Twitter and see the fun unfold on social media with the hashtags #BiteSox and #CWSHomeOpener.

With both of our hometown teams 2-0, Chicago’s baseball season is looking good. And this promotion is sure to be another hit.
