Hummus is one of my favorite allergy free foods, which is why it only lasts two days in my fridge. It’s a great alternative to put on burgers or sandwiches instead of cheese or ketchup (which usually contains a lot of sugar). Maybe you have seen some of these popular brands of hummus:
Most appetizers in restaurants are usually made of some sort of bread and cheesy dip. Therefore, I usually order hummus sans pita bread and request raw veggies like cucumber slices or carrot sticks. Raw food restaurants like Karyn’s and Cousins also have a raw version of hummus as an appetizer or to go.
