Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi, Istanbul. Orange you glad I didn't say Benghazi again?
Benghazi was a black day for our State Department, no two ways about it. Each of the four Americans who died at our fledgling outpost in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012 was a tragic loss. The greater tragedy, though may have been our political system turning those deaths into a match up of expediency... Read more »
Won't you be my neighbor
This being the last Wednesday of the month, an email has just arrived in the inboxes of all ChicagoNow bloggers saying the following: “Welcome to ChicagoNow’s Blogapalooz-Hour. Your challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to publish a post in one hour. Here is tonight’s challenge: ‘Write a letter to a celebrity (rock star,... Read more »
Drone crash kills roofer, puppy saved
Two drones, both on experimental delivery missions from two of America’s largest retailers crashed today over a house in a suburb north of Chicago. Both drones were making deliveries to the Lincolnwood (IL) house over which they crashed. In the wake of the crash, the falling UAVs (Unmanned Airborne Vehicles) knocked a workman off the... Democratic Presidential Debate knocks Trump off the air
Like many of you (well, not my Republican friends), I watched the Democratic Presidential Debate last night. Pundits will tell you that the reason those three lead the pack is because they’re not establishment types, not politicians. Except for Fiorina, none of them have ever run for... Read more »
Christopher Columbus was the first....wise guy with a boat
Columbus Day is a big deal to me this year and it has nothing to do with Christopher Columbus. My daughter was born on October 12, (bleep) years ago. Happy birthday, sweetheart. Since about 1970, Columbus day has been on the second Monday of October. My daughter was born on a Sunday and this is... Read more »

Republicans and the NRA want to put an end to our nation's weekly school shootings
Republicans and the NRA want to put an end to our nation’s weekly school shootings. That’s my headline and I’m sticking to it. If you don’t believe it, congratulations. Your brain is still working. With regards to any kind of sensible gun control, gun violence or school shootings, Republicans and the NRA want to do... Read more »
Jeb Bush may not be his brothers keeper, but he wants to run for Dubya's third term
Jeb Bush may bridle when Donald Trump calls him a low energy guy, but he has done nothing to show otherwise. Not only is Jeb’s personality low energy, but his campaign is anemic. The concept of being one’s brother’s keeper goes back to the Bible (Genesis 4:9). When God asked Cain the whereabouts of his... Read more »
