Behold… a look back at one of Chicago’s most iconic music nightclubs: TUTS Chicago.
40 years ago, TUTS began a memorable run of concerts featuring a diverse roster of artists like The Cramps, The Replacements, Richie Havens, Commander Cody, The Violent Femmes, The Go-Go’s, The Stray Cats, The Alarm and more.
Here is a peek at the concerts and culture which defined TUTS, as captured by then house photographer Howard Greenblatt, a gallery which includes shots of artists like Buddy Guy, Richard Thompson, Son Ra, Son Seals and Savoy Brown.
In celebration of this anniversary, former staff member Philamonjaro is issuing a limited edition t-shirt featuring the iconic club logo. Check it out here: http://www.philamonjaro.com/
