A scary-cool Halloween pop-up, A Week of Treats, benefits programs for inner-city kids

A Week of Treats is a scary, adorable, fun-filled Halloween pop-up that’s fun for all ages! Now through Sunday, October 31, Recess Chicago is hosting an outdoor-type Halloween festival that includes a Cakes of Terror Competition (vote for the winner!); (healthy) trick and treats from a variety of local vendors; a fortune teller; activity areas and so much more!

Located at 838 W. Kinzie, the outdoor space includes a witches’ corner, a haunted playground, food stands and more (all enveloped in scary sounds!) AND, every child gets an activity bag with his/her $15 ticket. (Adults are $25)

The event is presented by Recess Move the World Operations, Creative Event Editions and CA Staffing. Proceeds will benefit Strength in the City Foundation’s “Chicago’s Next” program, a mentorship program that enriches the lives of inner-city kids in Chicago’s neighborhoods. The pop-up is focusing on the West Side of Chicago for its pilot program.
