The Chicago Urban League will present its 56th Annual Golden Fellowship Dinner at the Hilton Chicago on Saturday, November 4. The dinner will be hosted by comedian Damon Williams and will be headlined by 11-time Grammy winner, Songwriter Hall Of Fame inductee artist/producer Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds.
The 2017 Edwin C. “Bill” Berry Civil Rights Awards will be presented to civil rights attorney James D. Montgomery, Sr. and the Lester H. McKeever, Jr. Individual Service Award will be presented to Sen. Emil Jones, Jr.
Themed, Beyond 100: Together We Matter, the event will highlight the League’s entrance into its second century of service to Chicago’s African American community. The League has remained committed to its mission of driving educational opportunity, economic development and social justice for Chicago’s African American community since its inception in 1961.
The Golden Fellowship Dinner raises critical funds needed to ensure delivery of the League’s high-quality, outcomes-driven programs and services and draws more than 1,600 guests annually. For gala tickets and more info, click here!
