The Chicago Urban League announced that one of the most iconic entertainers of all time, Diana Ross, will be the headlining performer at its Golden Fellowship Dinner-Centennial Edition benefit gala on Saturday, November 19, at the Hilton Chicago.
The Golden Fellowship Dinner (GFD) is the Chicago Urban League’s largest annual fundraiser and one of the city’s premier fundraising events. Each year, the dinner draws more than 1,700 of the city’s best-known business leaders, human rights advocates, philanthropists and elected leaders. This year’s theme, Building On Our Legacy, pays homage to the community-based, economic empowerment organization’s founding 100 years ago to assist southern African-Americans who had migratednorth to find housing and employment.
Today, the Chicago Urban League’s educational, workforce, housing and entrepreneurship programs serve more than 10,000 residents on the South and West Sides. (For more info and tickets, click here).
