The Service Club of Chicago Goes Hollywood (PICS!)

For the 121st anniversary of the Service Club of Chicago, co-chairs Toni Canada, Laurie Davis and Dusty (Yolanda) Stemer enlisted the aid of top event designer, Tom Kehoe, to make their Gala dreams come alive!  The theme, “An Evening of Glamour at Club El Morocco,” got Tom and his team’s creative juices flowing as they recreated the zebra banquettes, unusual lighting fixtures and even the sign that appeared in front of this legendary NY hotspot popular from the 1930’s thru ’50’s.

Service Club President Sherrill Bodine gave the welcome address while emcees, Val Warner and Ryan Chiaverini, spoke of the organization’s long history.  Dinner and dancing to the Ken Arlen Orchestra followed with a special performance by Shelley MacArthur Farley.   (Photos by Cindy Barrymore, Caitlin Saville Collins, Steve Starr and moi!)
