What a thrill it must’ve been for all of the Chicagoans who went to NY Fashion week this season! The Lincoln Center venue is majestic and much more impressive than the tents were, at least in my opinion. Whitney Lasky and Robin Berger were at the Michael Kors show with Chicago Manager Gregg Zgnonena, photog Chris Free and Ingrid Feder attended newcomers Academy and Venexiana and Park Hyatt PR whiz, Lynne Bredfeldt got to meet supermodel Carol Alt, whose trick for staying young is an all raw diet. But Saks Personal Shopper, Heather Farley, had them all beat. She saw 6 shows including Carolina Herrera, Donna Karan, Monique Lhuillier, Yigal Azrouel, Michael Kors and Oscar de la Renta.
However, my personal favorite, Pamella Roland’s fall collection made my heart beat faster when I was sent post show photos. Not only are they glamorous and Red Carpet ready but they’re also very wearable. It’s a collection you can see yourself wearing which is not true of all designer’s collections. We love Pamella here in Chicago and hope she comes back to stage another show like she did for the Joffrey Ballet’s 2009 “Couture & Cocktails” at the grand Palmer House. Now THAT was a show!!! Congrats to Pamella and her Sales and Marketing Director, Kenneth Marks, on another beautiful collection!
