There was great Bluegrass music by the Whiskey Hollow Band, a moonwalk and balloon artists for the kids and lots of mixing and mingling. It was a wonderful evening that reminded me just how lucky we are to be living in such a wonderful neighborhood! Partygoers included Alice and Judge John Huff, Monika Betts, Alderman Vi Daley, Shannon, John, Berit and Scotty Waterfield, Deborah and Ed Howlett, Rob Katz, Carolyn Armenita Davis, Carolyn Stephenson, Sharon O’Brien, Chris Long, Mary Martel, Tom and Tessa Bracken and Linda Short (with her dog Chester) among others. Welcome to Fall!
Lucy Baldwin’s Best New and Different Chili Recipe:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Prepare chili whatever way is your family favorite
Place chili mixture in a Pyrex dish and top with Trader Joe’s Cornbread Mix (prepare as directed adding egg, milk and oil)
Bake for 40 minutes
When finished, top with shredded Chihuahua cheese
And voila, you’re a winner now too!
