A Night with Virginia and Elaine Madsen and the EBERTS!

The documentary gets a thumbs-up from Roger Ebert!

Tonight was a memory making night on many levels.  I was honored to be on the host committee, thanks to Brenda Sexton of Chicago Link Productions, for a party celebrating Virginia and Elaine Madsen (her gorgeous mom) and their new movie, “I Know a Woman Like That.”  There were so many cool peeps there–the top of the list being Chaz and Roger Ebert.  To paraphrase some of the eloquent words Chaz spoke on Roger’s behalf describing the film, ‘Its description may sound innocuous, but this documentary is transformative in the way it regards life from the perspective of age. She talks intimately with 16 women over 70 who didn’t put life on pause but kept right on living.”  The film will be previewed tomorrow at Columbia College, (1104 S. Wabash, 7th floor) at 5 PM.  Don’t miss it!  Some of the hosts for the evening included Amanda Puck, Susanna Negovan, LeeAnn Trotter, Sherren Leigh, Janet Davies, Lisa Skolnik, Terry Savage and Richard Roeper, Suzanne LeMignot, Ruth Ratny, Larry Wert and Bill Zwecker  among others.  J
