I beg to differ that Benchmark is the first "convertible beer garden" in the City. Village Tap in Roscoe Village has had a convertible beer garden for at least the 8 years I have been in the City! Also, I know Plymouth Restaruant in the South Loop has had a convertible rooftop for years.
