My goal is to share ALL the knowledge I have obtained over the last nine years about hair, skin and nails with everyone who is "Mane conscious"!

Skin so soft, so beautiful it is worthy of poetry

Paula Willis is the creator of Poetisa's Palette on Chicago's South Side.  Poetisa's Palette is a skin care company that utilizes nature's gifts to make fresh skin care products.

Paula's vision is and I quote, "to spread the art of poetic skin by utilizing nature's gifts to create, fresh, luxurious, skin products that take an artistic and holistic approach to promote, beautiful, rich, and healthy skin".  Poetisa's Palette also offer incredible all natural hair care products that I have added to my personal hair care arsenal!

Poetisa's Palette only use the finest all natural ingredients, and all hair products are fragrance free!  Just take a look at some of the high end natural ingredients used in these products: Amla fruit Oil, Argan Oil, Cranberry Seed Oil, Calendula Oil, Joboba Oil, and Mowrah Butter.  For a more detailed information on these all natural ingredients head over to Poetisa's Palette website.

The hair products have a soft subtle aroma to them that comes from the combination of essential oils in the formulation. These are the kind of products that need to dominate store shelves across America.

I decided to post Paula's hair regimen instead of her hair journey.  I like the step by step regimen details and how she incorporate her fabulous product line in her regular routine.

Paula's regimen in her own words:

1.   I run my fingers through my hair to undo any tangled strands.
2.   I wash my hair with my Far Eastern Dream Shampoo in tepid to cool water twice.
3.   I follow that up with my Far Eastern Dream Hair Conditioner.
4.   I leave it in for 10 to 15 minutes, and then rinse out thoroughly.
5.   I towel dry, then with a medium sized comb I part my hair from ear to ear.
6.   I take a modest amount of hair and apply a modest amount of,
      Of The Earth Hair Moisturizer.
7.   I comb it through starting from the end and working my way up.
8.   If my hair is dry, I apply Of The Earth Hair Tea, then apply hair moisturizer and comb
through.  Then I braid that section of my hair with three strands.
9.   I repeat the process throughout my head.  I leave it braided over night or up to a week.
10. I unbraid my hair careful not to disturb the crinkles.
11. My hair maintains the crinkles for five or six days.
12. I touch up with hair oil after the third day.
13. To maintain softness, I wear a silk scarf to bed every night.

Product Review

Of The Earth Hair Tea, and the Of The Earth Moisturizer are new additions in my product arsenal.  The hair tea is infused with nettles, horsetail, rosemary, and rose hip seeds which quenches my manes' thirst; then I use a dab of the hair moisturizer for extra moisture and nutrients. Together they add a nice sheen to my hair without weighing it down. Paula sells these fine products at festivals and online at www.poetisaspalette.com.
