Turn it up at Decibelle this week

Starting this Thursday, Chicago is going to get even gayer than it already is. The annual feminist music and arts festival, Decibelle, is going on all weekend, and tons of queer women are involved in the festivities. Here are some of my picks:

Friday, Oct. 16

Me'Shell Ndegeocello at Old Town School of Folk Music (4544 N Lincoln Ave.) Two shows, 7 and 10 p.m.

JD Samson DJ Set at Berlin (954 W. Belmont Ave.) 10 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 17

Good Asian Drivers as part of the Decibelle Music Lounge at Heartland Cafe (7000 N. Glenwood) 7:30 - 10:30 p.m.

Michelle Tea, Rhiannan Argo and Ariel Schrag at Sister Spit: The Next Generation at Women and Children First (5233 N. Clark) 9 p.m. Sister Spit After-Party with The Chances Dances DJs at Ole Ole (5413 N. Clark) 10 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 18

Psalm One at Decibelle Closing Party Jet Set at Skybar (2242 N. Lincoln Ave.) 9 p.m.
