Sneak a peak at "Hannah Free" tonight

Queer as Folk fans know her as Michael's sassy PFLAG mom Debbie, and, before that, she was part of the famous police-duo Cagney and Lacey,  but lesbian icon Sharon Gless will now be remembered as Hannah Free.

The actress came to Chicago to work with Ripe Fruit Films on the movie, which follows a lesbian's life story and love affair. Sharon worked for 18 days in the summer of 2007 and Hannah Free is finally beginning to screen around the country. It will be at the Gene Siskel Center at the end of September, but tonight, you can get a sneak peak as part of the Midwest Independent Film Festival's First Tuesdays at Landmark's Century Centre Cinema (2828 N. Clark St.)

What's also special about tonight is there is a pre-reception at 6:00 p.m. with a producer's panel at 6:30 and post-screening reception at Forno Diablo (433 W. Diversey Ave.) Check out the trailer and find out if it's something you can't wait until September to see.
