I'm Spiritual, Dammit

Are your kids gifted or intuitive? You are not alone!

Do your kids have imaginary friends?  Maybe they get anxious in crowded places?  Do they walk on their tip-toes?  Maybe they even talk to dead people?  Then you need to be at the Wilmette Theatre tonight for a very important event.

"From Paranormal to Pretty Normal" is a talk on this very subject.  There's a wide spectrum of behaviors that some consider "abnormal" or "disordered".  But the reality is- they are brilliant.

Therese Rowley- fellow Chicagonow blogger and C.E.O. consultant for big companies was one of these kids.  She not only was intuitive, she could see spirits.  Still can.  But this wasn't something that was to be discussed at the dinner table in her large Catholic family on the South Side of Chicago.

I would get stomach aches as a child every time a fight was about to break out between my parents.  I could actually FEEL it coming.  My mom took me to the Doctor who examined me, and then said I was "making up my stomach aches for attention."

Good going, Doc!

Since I've talked openly about this subject- even sharing that my son talks to my dead Dad before he dozes off to sleep- I have gotten email after email from parents with similar tales.

So now you should all come up to Wilmette tonight.  Not only will we be swapping techniques of what has worked, and what hasn't when dealing with these incredible kids- you will walk away with an understanding that the OLD way of doing things is on the way out.  The classroom set up established in Europe hundreds of years ago is no longer relevant.  We have to find a new way to nurture these children, and it starts by educating the parents.

So call the theater- 847-251-7424 and get your ass to the burbs tonight, dammit!  We have a lot of work to do.
