Today, the entire nation celebrates Memorial Day.
A holiday that rightly mourns the loss, but celebrates the sacrifices of the men and women of America's armed forces have made, over our country's 232 year history.
God Bless them and God Bless America!
We can also mourn the loss of Memorial Day as a parking meter holiday in Chicago.
In the old days, before the parking meters were sold off to Morgan Stanley, in deference to this holiday, King Richard the Second, showed his affection for his loyal and happy subjects by allowing them to park free at meters on Memorial Day.
But alas, not anymore.
So sleep in, fire up the grill, feed your meter and say a prayer for the brave men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice, so we could bask in the glorious freedom of the greatest country on earth.
