That being said, I took sometime this weekend to step off of N. Wells and to stroll down Evergreen Avenue, Goethe Street, and Division Street. Along the way, I snapped a few photographs of some of the most unique sites and hidden beauties I found off the beaten path in Old Town. Off the Beaten Path: Not All That Glimmers is on North Wells
Although N. Wells is well-known as the main artery of Old Town, it still surprises me that more people do not venture off the popular street to see what else the neighborhood has to offer. And I am not even talking about the shops and restaurants that can be found away from the main drag, but, rather, the beautiful scenery and architecture that makes Old Town the neighborhood it is.

This adorable swing-set is accompanied by a massive playground on W. Goethe. Its the perfect place to take your kids on a weekend stroll through the neighborhood..Recommended
