Jersey Shore disappoints in the Gold Coast once again

After cancelling appearances across Chicago, the Jersey Shore cast members finally rescheduled at various nightclubs.  McFadden's Bar and Saloon (1206 North State Parkway) was set to host Jersey Shore couple Sammi "Sweetheart" and Ronnie on February 4th, but since the couple broke up and couldn't stand to being together to double bookings, the couple cancelled.  The famous nationwide saloon was able to reschedule Sammie "Sweetheart" without Ronnie for February 25th.

Before heading out I checked the McFadden's website to make sure the event was not cancelled since from experience from covering the event, the Jersey Shore cancels last minute.  The website did not state any cancellation, so I began my adventure to McFadden's.  The cover for the night was $10 dollars before ten so my party and I arrived at 9:30p.m.  The bar was crowded and the saloon was empty enough to find a table where we were greeted promptly.

Thursday's special was the skinny girl drinks where every martini was only $5.  Martini's ranged from a Carrie Bradshaw trademark martini to a chocolate infused martini.  These drinks originally range from $9 or more.  The drinks were delicious and well worth their $5 price tag, their 9+ price, maybe not.  The music was not the usual club thumper, well it was, but it also played some oldies like Gloria Estefan's Conga.

We ordered some very fulfilling calamari and grew very excited for Sammi's arrival.  We were even sure that she hadn't cancelled because a section of the club was roped off just for the occasion.  Just to make sure we asked our server what time Sammi would be coming, and she looked nervous with her response.  She told us that Sammi had just cancelled last minute, so last minute that the club had no time to warn patrons like us that were at the saloon for the event.

Jersey Shore disappoints once again.  To not let the patrons get angry, the club did offer free wristbands for previously purchased packages and refunds for tables.  An announcement was never made over the speaker and the bouncer did not warn patrons but soon word got out that Sammi would not arrive, thus girls began dancing all over the table.  Chicago girls were allowed to dance all over Sammi's table while screaming F U Sammi.

Disappointed in Sammi we left, but we were in good spirits with McFadden's since they were very accommodating.

that damn, Sammi. What a shame, sir. Good to see you had a good time, despite the lies.
