The Ashkenaz Jewish Style Deli located in Chicago's Gold Coast is not to be messed with. The corned beef is one of their specialties, and they pile on the meat so high you need to dislocated your jaw before taking a bite.

Besides the amazing food the best part about this place...the price! At the deli you can get  bowl of matzo ball soup, half a sandwich (on bread of your choice), and a side for eight bucks. Now that ain't bad especially when we're looking at restaurant in the Gold Coast.

The atmosphere is nothing to note, but who cares when you're getting great food at a reasonable price. It's mostly an on the go type of place, white collar works on their way to their morning bus or train don't miss the opportunity to stop by a grab a quick bite.

The fresh lox, that some argue to be the best in the city, on top of a bagel of your choice, it's the perfect start to your day. Not to mention the potato pancakes, cream cheese blintzes which are to die for.

They have great quality meat including pastrami on marble rye bread with real deli brown mustard. None of that store bought yellow mustard brown or gray poupon crap. This place is the real deal.
