Free Night of Theater in Chicago

You know what I don't like? The way practically every theater company in the United States spells their name "theatre." This is America, actors! Love it or leave it.

That's what I like about Free Night of Theater 2010. Free Night of TheatER. Speaking of which, you can go to the theatER for free in Chicago during October. Just go to the Free Night of Theater 2010 Web site and choose from the available shows.

New tickets go up every October Tuesday at 10 a.m. So right now, the pickings look slim, with only "I Do! I Do!" in Evanston still taking online reservations. Tomorrow you should see a bunch more shows there. In the past it looks like they've been offering The Chicago Shakespeare Theatre's Romeo and Juliet, among many others.

It appears that all you have to do to reserve your free tickets is fill out a Web form with some demographic information.

You know what I don't like about writing theatER? It kind of looks like you'll be going to a dramatized emergency room. Like Tony N Tina's wedding, but you might get an emergency appendectomy.
