Sunday Ads 10/25: Free Diaper Sample, Free Lip Balm, Free Soup

If this week's ad summary is a bit dry and to the point, blame my mom's slow computer that I'm typing on. Maybe I need to use that $70 off Dell coupon I got with the Kellogg's rebate for an upgrade for her.

At any rate, there are lots of good grocery deals this week with coupons, ExtraBucks and Register Rewards, not to mention that just about everyone has deep discounts now on Halloween costumes and candy. It pays to procrastinate! Behind the break you'll find out how to get free soup from CVS, free Dove soap from Walgreens, cheap DiGiorno pizzas from Walgreens or Target, Free LypSyl lip balm from anywhere, and a free diaper sample online. Free is good!

The coupon inserts: Redplum has coupons for $2/1 for the new Pampers Extra Protection diapers and $1/1 Pampers Sensitive wipes, but you have to buy both the diapers and wipes to use the $1/1. Also, they have an offer for a free sample of this new diaper from Walmart. Also a $30 off coupon for a Bayer Contour blood glucose meter which will get you some free ExtraBucks at CVS next time this meter is paying ECBs. (I have given these away on Freecycle and found quite happy recipients.)

SmartSource has a $.50/2 for Pillsbury Crescent Rolls and $.50/2 Progresso soup, which makes me think I should make ONE LAST run for the overlapping Catalina deals at Jewel. Thank goodness the madness ends today! (A reader says that Catalina deal is dead.) Also $1/1 Colgate, $1/1 off Huggies diapers and $3/1 Huggies Pure & Natural diapers. And an opportunity for free LypSyl, which is high grade stuff (take it from a lip balm junkie): a $1/1 coupon paired with a $2/1 mail-in rebate.

Aldi has dairy products on sale: butter @ $1.59/lb, milk $1.79 a gallon and cream cheese 79 cents for 8 oz. Walnuts are also on sale for $1.89 for 8 oz., and semi sweet chocolate chips on sale for $1.49/12 oz. down from $1.69.

Walgreens has another coupon for $5 off a costume or cape, regular price $14.99 or higher. Good through 10/31. They also have Dove soap for 99 cents with in-ad coupon, and there is a $1/1 coupon in the 10/4 RedPlum that would make it free. Buy 2 Digiorno pizzas for $5 each, get $1 Register Rewards, and if you use two of these $1.50 off coupons, that's $3 a pizza. For the rest of the Wag's deals, see Money Saving Mom.

CVS has Campbell's soup for 50 cents (use printable coupon to get two cans free) and a number of other grocery items on sale. For all the Extra Bucks deals and transaction ideas see Money Saving Mom.

Target has DiGiorno on sale for $5, plus you get a free personal 7" pizza with purchase. Use two $1.50/1 printables to get them for $1 each! This week's $5 gift card offers: buy 2 Purina dog foods @ $11.49; 2 Tide laundry detergents at $18.99; 3 Pledge products @ $4.29; or 2 soap, paper or diaper items @ various prices (including 2 super mega Huggies packs @ $16.99 or mega packs Pull-Ups or GoodNites @ $14.99). To compare diaper prices see the Baby Cheapskate chart.

Through Tuesday, get $10 Kohl's cash for every $50 you spend there, in store or online.

JC Penney has a coupon for $10 off a salon retail purchase of $40 or more, through Tuesday only. That includes hairspray, which is on sale for $7.99, regular price $8.95 to $28. So you could get a pretty sweet deal if you like hairspray that is normally expensive.

Toys R Us has 40% off Halloween candy; a free fairy lantern worth $12.99 with any $40 Disney Fairies purchase; a $7 store coupon if you buy value boxes of Pampers diapers and wipes (which can be stacked with manufacturer's coupons); an offer for $10 gift card when you buy 3 Nestle Good Start powder formulas 23.2 oz. or larger (stack this with both manufacturer's coupons and formula checks if you have them). Toys R Us is also advertising a video game trade in program, where you get a gift card for any used game. I wonder how much you get -- anyone know?

Kmart has a coupon for a $10 gift card with new or transferred prescription. This should also be usable at any CVS that takes competitor pharmacy coupons. And costumes are 50% off.

In addition to the usual 40% off one regular-priced item coupon, Michael's craft store has a coupon for 15% entire purchase including sale items, good today only 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Would be a great opportunity to grab some Halloween decorations, which are already 30% ot 50% off.

Parade Magazine has a coupon for a free bag of candy, up to $3.50, with the purchase of the Monsters vs. Aliens DVD or Blu-Ray.

Unfortunately, the GM/Pillsbury Catalina might be a dead dael. Couponers Wanted has several persons who tried to do the Pillsbury/GM Catalina today (10/25/2009) but had no success...

I have an interesting Dell Coupon for you, might be better than your $70 off that you have.

The Target 'buy 2, get $5 GC' on the Huggies was a pretty good deal for me. There was a Target coupon ($1) in the paper and I had $3 coupons ... so that's $4 off per pack to begin with. And each package came with a Target $1.50 off on the pack (so I can pair that with another coupon on my next purchase, too!). I *always, always, always* look at the packages of almost everything that are toward the back of the shelves. Sometimes there's older packages with 25% more, or coupons (in this case, as the front one had no coupon), or whatever ... it's worth the one second it takes to look.
