Last Chance for Kellogg's Fuel for School Rebate Moneymakers at Jewel or Target This Week

cereal.jpg

The only big deal that stands out this week at Jewel is a new Kellogg's promo: Buy 10 of selected items (mix and match) and you get them for $1.50 each. Remember that Fuel for School Rebate, where you buy 10 Kellogg's products and they send you a $10 check? Well, it ends Sept. 30, i.e., the end of this shopping week. So if you haven't done it yet, now's the time. Buy 10 of these items at $1.50 each, pay $15, and get a $10 rebate check. Better yet, use coupons to bring the 10 items down to a buck each and it's all free after rebate. Better better yet, use coupons to bring them down to 50 cents each and then the rebate is a moneymaker.

Items include: 12-18 oz. cereals Frosted Flakes, Rice Krispies, Apple Jacks and Mini-Wheats ($2/2 from 8/30 RedPlum, $1/1 coupons inside booklets in some cereal boxes, $1.50/2 Mini-Wheats printable, there's a $1/1 Special K printable but I don't know if Special K is part of the deal, $1/2 Qs in the Fuel for School insert from 8/2). Keebler Fudge Shoppe or EL Fudge Cookies ($.55/1 Keebler printable or $1/2 from Fuel for School booklet). Special K Snack Crackers ($1/1 printable or another on Coupons.com). All-Bran, Wheatables or Toasteds Crackers8-count Nutri-Grain bars ($1/2 from Fuel for School booklet and $1/2 coupons in booklets inside cereals). 12-count Pop-Tarts ($2/2 from 8/30 RedPlum -- not clear if this is only for a certain flavor, $1/2 from FfS booklet) 8-count Rice Krispies Treats ($1/2 from FfS booklet). 6-count Cinnabon bars ($1/1 from the 8/16 RedPlum or $1/1 printable on Coupons.com). Keebler Cracker Packs ($1/2 from FfS booklet).

Note that the Special K crackers are not mentioned on the Fuel for School rebate form. So I don't know if you'll receive the rebate if you buy those. (I sent in a rebate form for a receipt with some of those, so I'll find out.)

The best deals here are obviously the things with $1/1 coupons available -- cereal, Pop-Tarts and Cinnabon bars. Don't those bars look foul and not very healthy, though? I really would like to stock up on Nutri-Grain bars, since my 2-year-old loves to eat anything in bar form but I get scared when she wolfs down sticky granola bars that she might choke. They'd be $1 a box at Jewel this week if I had enough coupons for 10, and then I'd get it back in the rebate. These (and Pop-Tarts) are an even better deal at Target this week, by the way.

Oh, and according to blogger Queen of the Urban Jungle, you can actually send in for more than one Kellogg's rebate per household as long as you use a different form each time. She explains it here, if you're brave enough to try.
