5 ways to speed up your spring cleaning

Spring is (almost) here and with it time to clean your home from top to bottom.

While spring cleaning can seem overwhelming, it doesn't have to be! Here are 5 easy tips that will help you streamline your chores and have your house sparkling from top to bottom in less than one week.

Before spring cleaning even starts, keep a list going of all the springtime jobs that you only need to do once or twice a year. For example, you might bring your drapes and winter comforters to the dry cleaners and bring your warm-weather clothes out of storage.
Break up your to-do list into simple tasks that can be done in an hour. Assign each hour's worth of tasks to a day of the week. For example, Monday could be decluttering and Tuesday dusting.
The right tools and supplies can help you streamline the cleaning process. Consider buying a vacuum cleaner that can double as a duster, for example. An apron with lots of pockets will let you take cleaning products with you from room to room.
While it's fun to watch TV while cleaning, doing so can cause you to work much slower. The same is also true for talking on the phone. Turn off the TV, hang up the phone and remember that you're only cleaning for an hour!
Certainly your yard can use cleaning and organizing. Get out and and enjoy the warmer weather while putting your life in order-inside and out
