Kap's Corner

Another Slice Of History

As the Bears get set to play the Packers in the post season for the first time since 1941, I was given a few pictures you might enjoy.  Below are four newspaper shots from December 14th and 15th, 1941, the day of and the day after the two football rivals met the last time in post season play.  Check these out.  You'll enjoy.

Your interview with Ryan Theriot was overdue. Too bad it was only on radio. The way the Cubs organization treats its players is a crying shame. Notice that even players who don't say negative things, never mention management, because they figure if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. I'm not familiar with the guy in St Louis who interviewed him, but it seems that so many interviewers goad players into saying negative things, and then publish the remarks out of context. A player owes no loyalty to a team that bad-mouths him before trading him. His loyalty goes to the guys who pay his salary. As for the football playoffs-Green Bay all the way. This is just a hunch, and if it turns out to be correct, I'll tell you why.
