Chad Denny- A fresh start !

Several years ago while attending the Red Wings Traverse City Rookie Tournament  the Atlanta Thrashers rookie lineup featured a 17 year old with a deadly wrister and wicked check, Chad Denny. After impressing at the tournament  Denny finished his Major Juniors in Lewiston Maine and signed with the Thrashers when he became eligible at age 19.  

For three years Denny seemed to struggle in the Thrashers system and never lived up to the promise that was so evident at that opening tourney. In his third and final year of his contract Denny spent most of the year in Georgia with the Wolves AA affiliate the Gwinnett Gladiators. However this morning good news came to Call of the Wild, Denny has a fresh start !

This summer we had followed him from the Philadelphia Flyer camp, no luck there then the word that Denny is with the Utah Grizzlies, the ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames.
