Turkeys Away: Wolves are 2-10-0-1 on Black Friday

I write the Wolves blog for ChicagoNow

Black Friday, the day after the team has filled itself. For your enjoyment, I've researched the history of the Chicago Wolves on games on Thanksgiving, and immediately after the holiday. The only time the team has ever played on Thanksgiving Day was in its first year, 1994, when it faced the Fort Wayne Komets and won. If the first game after the holiday is Black Saturday, it has a perfect 2-0 record. However, if it plays on Black Friday, it has a terrible record: 2-10-0-1. And, in five of the years, the loss started a multiple game losing streak.
