We’ve been watching the Olympics a lot in our house and have loved watching amazing athletes like Simone Biles and Michael Phelps take home the gold with incredible performances.
This year’s games, however, haven’t been overly hilarious, so it’s time to revisit Mary Carillo’s epic rant about badminton from the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. She very humorously explains how badminton in her suburban backyard is not at all similar to Olympic version of the game.
You don’t have to be into the Olympics at all to appreciate this three minute tongue-in-cheek rant which has left me and millions of other viewers over the years in stitches. It starts out a little slow and serious but the humor and all too relatable truths amp up just over one minute in.
