Attending the SLS18 FOCUS Conference in Chicago

Blogging has its perks.  I usually get asked to read a book to review, but this time, I got an invitation from Barb Szyszkiewicz, editor at asking if I wanted to attend the SLS18 FOCUS Conference being held here in Chicago.

FOCUS is the The Fellowship of Catholic University Students.  They are “a group of people passionate about changing the world and helping you live a life of purpose. We’re on college campuses across the country, so chances are, we’re on yours.”  From what I saw at the conference, they are doing an amazing job.

Young people from all over the country were participating and reverently practicing their faith at the conference.  It was breathtaking to see.

The conference offered keynote speakers, workshops, faith-sharing, Mass and a chapel where you could participate in adoration.

Watch for my article on where I interview Sister Bethany Madonna January 25.

You can watch all the videos from the conference here including a surprise visit from Jim Cavizel.

Please join me and other Catholics (and some not-so-Catholics!) on my Facebook page and on Twitter.

I also write for on occasion, and every 4th Thursday of the month so take a moment and check them out.

Type your email address in the box and click the “create subscription” button. My list is completely spam free, and you can opt out at any time, but I hope you’ll stick with me!
