12 places that got my mind off of real life

The BFF arrived in town last week and my staycation from blogging, social media and real life began.  I was happy to get away from home for a while and recharge my spirit.  Don’t get me wrong, life is good, I just hit a few bumps in the road.

From beautiful hotels, wonderful food, great music, history of Chicago and great company, here are the 12 places that got my mind off of real life:

I’m back to real life:  paying bills, housework and a doctor appointment coming up.  It was great to be away and spend time with the person I’ve known longer than anyone else!  Looking back, it seemed like such a short visit, but it was enough to clear my head, renew my spirit and figure out how to maneuver those bumps in the road.  I’m grateful to God for the opportunity to take that time off.  It was truly a blessing!

Here’s the links to the places we visited:

The Drake Hotel

Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Company

The Art Institute

Wrigley Field

Margaritaville Restaurant in Chicago at Navy Pier

Chicago Hauntings

Holy Name Cathedral

Eataly Chicago

EXHIBITIONISM The Rolling Stones

The Billy Goat Tavern

The Lincoln Park Zoo

The Field Museum
