My daughter and I traveled to New York City in March. One of the highlights of that trip was our visit to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.
My daughter was eleven years old at the time of the attacks. She said visiting the museum made her feel closer to the people involved in the tragedy.
It’s hard for me to express what I felt while at the museum. One of the things my daughter and I both remember are the recorded phone calls of people reaching out to loved ones being played in sections of the museum. Some of those voices are forever silenced except through those recordings.
I also write for Catholic365.com on occasion, so take a moment and check it out.
