The Many Faces of Mary at St. Thérèse Chinese Catholic Church

The many faces of Mary can be seen at St. Thérèse Chinese Catholic Church.  Italian and Chinese culture merge in the faces of Mary in this hundred plus year old church here in Chicago.

I have a fascination with the way Mary is depicted in different cultures.  Our need to identify with our Blessed Mother is a strong one.

St. Thérèse has a long and rich history in the heart of Chinatown and I’ve been privileged to be a part of the parish for the last two and half years.

If you are ever in the area, please visit this beautiful church.  The Mass schedule can be found here.  If you decide to attend Mass at 5 PM on Saturday, please come and say hello.  My husband, my friend and I sing at that Mass.

Please join me and other Catholics (and some not-so-Catholics!) on my Facebook page and on Twitter.

Do you have Gmail?  If so, make sure you go into your “promotions” box and drag one of my emails over to your “primary” box.  That way, you’ll never miss one of my posts!  😉

2. If you have already liked my page, move your cursor directly over the “Liked” button so you can see the words “Get Notifications” appear in a box.

3. Select “Get Notifications” so there’s a check next to it.

4. That’s it, you’ve done it! Now you will see a notification that I’ve updated my fan page when you check into Facebook. I share infrequently and try to make it as fun and interesting as I can. Thanks for making my page and my blog a part of your day.
