Going Carb-less to Treat Diabetes

As I mentioned last week I was injected with steroids for hip bursitis.  I swear sometimes a higher power has it out for me, anyway, if you have ever been on steroids and are diabetic you know how they raise the blood levels.  I knew this going in but the pain was so unbearable I was willing to try anything.  I also underestimated the affect it would have on me.

It has not been consistently bad but the highs are ever prevalent.  I have been trying to combat the highs but cutting carbs out completely.  I wonder how many others try to control their blood sugars this way.  This is the audience participation portion of the blog where you can leave a comment and let me know if you have ever done that.

Not eating carbs sucks.  I miss my PB and J and breakfast sandwich in the morning but I am desperate to counteract the steroids.  I wish I knew how many carbs steroids equaled but so far there is not info out there.  I have called my doctor and I am going to see her for possible solutions.  I just want one good year without health issues.

Is that too much to ask?
