Pump up the jams... I mean insulin

I am pretty excited, today I decided to get an insulin pump.  My insurance has come through on something (finally) and is paying for 80% of the cost.  When I was told about using the pump cost was an important issue for me.

It will not be too bad for $50 every 3 months I get supplies for the pump though I will have to pay for the insulin out of pocket.  Don’t ask, it is the way insurance is set up at work.  Anyway, I figure you cannot put a price on control so I know I can make it work somehow.  Maybe I will donate my pancreas, shhh don’t tell anyone it is broken.

I cannot wait to use the pump.  It is set up to automatically inject you when needed.  The only time I have to interact with it is when it is meal time or when I shower.  So every 5 days for the latter.  I am kidding, I maintain great hygiene.

The meter I receive is set up to communicate with the pump and will inject me when needed.  Then I am going to save up for a bedazzler so I can pimp my pump with sequins.  Anyway, science and technology are rad and I cannot wait for it to make me a better diabetic.
