Today I say good bye to our Ay Mama! readers who have been with us on Chicago Now for the last 5 years. Life has gotten very busy with two children and a full time job. I never thought I would say this, but I don’t have the time to write a weekly post and most of my bloggers are in the same situation. We don’t want to short change our readers who expected to read a new post every day, hence we are shutting down Ay Mama! at Chicago Now at the end of this week.
I started this blog as a public journal of my experiences as a first time mom. It evolved into a wonderful platform for some of my close friends to share their life stories. I have enjoyed sharing this journey with our readers and receiving their love and support.
I want to thank my Ay Mama! friends and bloggers, Laura, Nina, Veronica, Allison, Lisa, Kelley and Khadine for their commitment to this blog and for giving it their all. I couldn’t have picked a better group of women and I wish you all the best.
To our readers: this is the end of the road for Ay Mama! on this platform. I will probably resurrect the project at some point, but for now I can’t commit to a weekly basis. You can always follow me on Facebook by liking my page or on Twitter @anabelaval.
Thank you so much for reading Ay Mama and “hasta luego”.
