It’s been a busy month, so this snack report is still a few weeks behind, but I’m getting caught up! On Saturday, May 1st, 2010, the art galleries in Chicago’s River North and West Loop districts coordinated their big opening night of the season. Timed to coincide with Artropolis, the gallery night was organized by the Chicago Gallery News, which also arranged for free shuttles between River North and the West Loop.
Stephanie and I were exhausted from performing in Tara Strickstein’s Pataphor at the NEXT Art Fair, and I’m pretty sure I still had blue paint in my eyebrows. But the snacks, as always, were out there, waiting, and would not be denied. We hopped on the shuttle from Merchandise Mart, and headed over to the River North galleries. While we were there, I ran into a friend of mine, John Hitchcock, who told me about a printmaking show he was involved in. So, after we finished up in River North, and made our rounds in the West Loop, we headed up to Happy Dog Gallery to see what Drive-By Press was up to!
Check out the slideshow for images from our adventures!
